Our History began with the Potomac Native American Flute Festival in 2004. This four-day event celebrated the Native American Flute from 2004 to 2014, except for 2012 and was held in Northern Virginia and Maryland. It was driven by the desire to bring flute makers, performers, and flute players together,

Our mission is to Serve, Strengthen, Engage and Unite the Native American and Ancient Flute Communities; amateur and professional, traditional and contemporary; through Performances, Music Education, Community Outreach, and Networking Programs.

Our vision is to build a Creative, Compassionate Community of Native American Flute Players, Performers, Makers and Enthusiasts who will support each other through collaborative activities.  

We will increase the Awareness of and the Appreciation for the rich musical variety, artistic value and cultural and historical significance of the N

Our vision is to build a Creative, Compassionate Community of Native American Flute Players, Performers, Makers and Enthusiasts who will support each other through collaborative activities.  

We will increase the Awareness of and the Appreciation for the rich musical variety, artistic value and cultural and historical significance of the Native American Flute and other Ancient Flutes through performances and events available to the general public.

We support and encourage the exploration of other Indigenous and Contemporary Instruments and their use with Native American Flutes.

We choose to embrace and foster the development of all the many positive qualities that result from Immersion into Music: Creativity, Community, Inspiration, Unity, Personal Expression and Healing.

We plan to provide enhanced opportunities for Flute players and makers from all traditions by including diversity and exploration of various Indigenous Ethnic Musical Art Forms & Styles and Cultural Musical Traditions in our programming.

We seek to Bring forth the transformative and healing power of the Native American Flute to populations

We plan to provide enhanced opportunities for Flute players and makers from all traditions by including diversity and exploration of various Indigenous Ethnic Musical Art Forms & Styles and Cultural Musical Traditions in our programming.

We seek to Bring forth the transformative and healing power of the Native American Flute to populations in need by using Native American Flute Music to promote and complement the healing process for patients and caregivers in Hospice, Healthcare Facilities, Veterans Administration (VA) Hospitals or Recovery Centers.

We seek to strengthen the visibility and the popularity of the Native American Flute and provide educational opportunities and resources for anyone wishing to learn more about it.
